Dear Patients,
It is with the greatest pleasure that I write to introduce Capital Rheumatology that I am opening in association with Raleigh Medical Group (RMG) in January 2021. I am excited to provide rheumatology services for you and your family in Wake County and the surrounding area.
For patients who I have had the privilege of taking care of and would like to transfer their care to my new practice, I look forward to seeing you again, and I am grateful for your trust and for the opportunity to continue your care. Please know that I highly value our doctor-patient relationship and do not take it for granted. Also, recognize that I will save no effort in making the transition as smooth as possible and offering you the same level of attention and care you have come to know from me.
To those who are new to me, I am Dr. Priyank Chaudhary and I look forward to partnering with you to address your rheumatological needs and will do all I can to ensure you achieve the most successful result possible. As a physician first, I am passionate about improving my patients’ quality of life and believe that by listening to each person’s specific symptoms and concerns, we can achieve the proper diagnosis and treatment goals. My approach is to use a combination of both traditional medicine and complementary medicine. I feel that by focusing on the body as a whole, I can provide much better outcomes for each of my patients.
My medical education started after attending college at Rutgers University, I graduated from St George’s School of Medicine in 2011. I completed my internal medicine residency training at the University of Maryland Medical System in 2014. Then I began my Rheumatology Fellowship at Drexel/Hahnemann University Hospital. In 2017, my wife and I decided to move to North Carolina and make Cary home, where I worked for a year before beginning a Rheumatology Department at Boice-Willis Clinic in Rocky Mount, NC. After three years of a lengthy commute and having a one-year-old toddler at home, I decided to return closer to home to establish Capital Rheumatology.
Access to a Rheumatologist is limited in many parts of North Carolina, as there are less than 200 rheumatologists in the state. Having worked in Wake County previously and knowing the limitations my patients had in accessing rheumatology care, I am passionate about providing this specialty care in multiple locations including Wakefield/North Raleigh and Smithfield. It is my hope that having close access to a rheumatologist will allow you to receive care in a timely and reliable manner.
I hope that your visit with me will exceed your expectations and that you will have a positive experience. To the extent you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Very truly yours,
Priyank Chaudhary, MD
